Ice breaks on an arctic river: May 20, 2010

I am trying to make a soundslide a week of life in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, Canada.

Here are people watching the river ice finally break during the may long weekend.

A few tips I've learned:

1. Introduce people with captions, instead of having people say "hi my name is."
2. Two minutes is a good target for a simple slide
3. the zoom effect really adds, however it should be used for subtle movements only
