Topic: Odd html in captions

Hello,

I have the regular edition of soundslides. I added the following code to a few of my slides:
[<a href="http://portfolio.thelevel.org/stories" target="_blank">Click here to view more images from this story.</a>]

These links work fine now, though in some 'Tests' and 'Exports' they did not work. The issue I am still having though is with underlining. On all but the first slide (which is the first to have my added code), the entire caption is underlined, which it shouldn't be. I have added no html to cause this.

You can see the problem here:

Thank you.

Re: Odd html in captions

Hi Eric.

That is odd. It indeed looks like you might have found a bug in the soundslider.swf player file.  I'm not sure if this is isolated to the undercaption shell or not, but I'll investigate.

I'll update the thread as soon as I get a sense of how long it will take fix the problem ...

Thanks for reporting it.

Re: Odd html in captions

Hi Eric.

Well - I spoke too soon.  The problem is actually in the first caption's HTML tag.

In your first caption, the link's closing tag is missing a character.  In the slide show online, the code is this:

[<a href="http://portfolio.thelevel.org/stories" target="_blank">Click here to view more images from this story.<a>]

And it should be this:

[<a href="http://portfolio.thelevel.org/stories" target="_blank">Click here to view more images from this story.</a>]

Since the link tag is never closed, the link formatting persists to the next caption.

Add that extra "/" and I think all will be resolved.  Let me know if that takes care of it.
