Topic: Audio is garbled when you jump around the slideshow

We've been having a problem with our Soundslides presentations where the audio gets jittery and the slides stop changing if we skip around the time line. Sometimes, after a few seconds, the slideshow gets back to normal and other times the images stop transitioning and the audio goes bad for the rest of the presentation. If you watch the presentation from beginning to end without skipping ahead or back, it works just fine.

Here is a link to a couple of stories we are currently running that has this problem:

To make the problem happen, click around in the time line a lot and the audio should go jittery.

Specs:
G4 powerbook
Soundslides Plus
Audacity with Lame MP3 plug-in

I'm thinking this is a bug because the MP3 is fine by itself and the rest of the stuff is created by Soundslides.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: Audio is garbled when you jump around the slideshow

This is a known problem with release 524 and we've issued an update.

We emailed everyone who purchased the application during the period of time that the problem release was downloaded, but we didn't catch everyone who had downloaded it.

NEW UPDATE:

Here's the new version.  This is a free update to Soundslides Plus:

Windows:
http://soundslides.com/release/soundsli … taller.exe

Mac OS X:
http://soundslides.com/release/soundsli … s_plus.dmg

WORKAROUND FOR EXISTING SLIDE SHOWS:

Also, in order to correct the slide shows that you've already published, you can replace your slide show's "soundslider.swf" file on your server, with the version zipped below:
http://soundslides.com/release/soundsli … er.swf.zip

Let me know if you have any trouble with the update or the workaround.
