Topic: Multiple SS in flash-- more questions

Hey Joe, We found an earlier post on this topic. But we still have questions about the code.
You wrote in that earlier post.

If you're loading multiple Soundslides SWFs into Flash, you can just use LoadMovie and enter the relative path to each one.  The slide show files themselves can be in subfolders, one for each of your slide shows.

So if you were trying to load the slide show into a movieclip named "load_mc", you would use this code:
load_mc.loadMovie("slideshow01/soundslider.swf");

To load another slide show into the same MC, just change the path:

load_mc.loadMovie("slideshow02/soundslider.swf");

WE HAVE THREE SOUNDSLIDES FOR THIS PAGE. IF WE PUT EACH IN FOLDERS NAMED "slideshow01.soundslider.swf" AND SO FORTH. WOULD THE ACTUAL CODE READ:

load_mc.load"slideshow01/soundslider.swf"
OR IS THAT, perhaps, BACKWARDS
"slideshow01/soundslider.swf".loadMovie
DO THE QUOTES MATTER? ANY GUIDANCE APPRECIATED.

ANOTHER QUESTION: We're using Flash symbols to activate the individual SSmovie clips. Is that the way to go.

Re: Multiple SS in flash-- more questions

Hi Brian.

The folders would be named:

slideshow01
slideshow02

soundslider.swf is the file that you would be loading.

So for the syntax below (which is correct), the folder would be named slideshow01, and the actual file that would be loaded is named soundslider.swf.  And load_mc is the instance name of the movieclip in which you're loading the SWF.

load_mc.loadMovie("slideshow01/soundslider.swf");

I've uploaded a working example here.  You can download the files (at the top of that page) and take a look at the working code.

As for the Flash symbols, you can do it that way, or use buttons to trigger it.
