Topic: Closed Captioning sync to audio

I need to add closed captioning to my slideshow which means I need to sync my captioning component that I've added to the audio instance. What would the path to the audio instance inside the slideshow component be?

Thanks

Hi layla.

Assuming the component has an instance name of "soundslides", the path to the Sound object would be:

soundslides.audioTrack

Let me know if that's what you're looking for ...

Re: Closed Captioning sync to audio

I actually want to place my closed captions in the same spot as the image captions and credits. So how would I hide the image captions and credits when I press my cc button to turn on my closed captions. I see that you can toggle with the soundslides.ss_credit(); but how do I set them to just hide? Or maybe just the path to the credits and caption boxes are all I need?

Also, if I press the credits button I would want to turn off my closed captions. They have an instance name of _captionObject on the stage.

Assuming the component has an instance name of "soundslides", the path to the caption/credit textfield and the background movieclip would be:

soundslides.caption_mc.caption_txt
soundslides.caption_mc.caption_bg

You should be able to turn them off by setting the visibility like this:

soundslides.caption_mc.caption_txt._visible = 0;
soundslides.caption_mc.caption_bg._visible = 0;

Let me know if that works for you ...
