Topic: Olympus DS-30

I'm looking at this digital recorder for use with Soundslides but it seems to be too new to have many reviews posted anywhere.  Are any of you using it? And would there be issues with using it on a Mac?  It records in WMA format and has 256 mg. flash memory.  The specs say the computer OS supported is Windows and not Mac.  But I wonder...

The recorder can be used with a Mac, but you'll need third party software to open the wma file and convert it to something you can use. There is a $10 program call easywma that does the job, there are others as well.

Switch works on a Mac, and they have a free version that will convert WMAs to MP3s and AIFFs.
