Topic: Shell w/static navigation and multiple SoundSlide projects possible?
This may be a long shot, but I don't know where else to ask.
Is it possible to create a shell with a navigation system that stays static, and only a portion of the shell holds the SoundSlides project, changing projects according to whichever is clicked? Essentially, the SoundSlides project looks like its own website, but is embedded IN a current website. My client uses TYPO3 CMS, and wants to embed a complex SoundSlides projekt into the existing web template.
Tough to explain: Here is a dummy page (hope link works) to help visualize.
or if that doesn't work
The SoundSlides program is a nonlinear storytelling piece, which needs its own navigation outside of the client's website. The top and left navigation needs to stay static. The yellow box is where the SoundSlides should play. Users can navigate the the project based on which person they want to hear talking about what topic (Family, Word, Friends). In the mock-up above, there would be 9 mini SoundSlides projects total - one each behind each little blue button in the matrix. When a blue button is clicked, the appropriate slideshow should play in the light yellow box, while the side navigation (with the words) and upper navigation (with the photos) remain visible.
I built something like this in Flash, which was time-consuming. Thus, I was ecstatic to see I might be able to use SoundSlides. But now I'm not sure if I can get the matrix-style interface I need.
Any thoughts? Is this even POSSIBLE? I'm not a programmer but will try learning whatever it takes to make this happen.
